Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how PropDolphin (“PropDolphin,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information when you visit our website or create an account. PropDolphin is an informational research tool for player props and game picks; we do not accept wagers, process bets, or hold sportsbook funds. By using PropDolphin, you acknowledge the collection and use of information described in this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect the information needed to operate the service, grouped into four categories:

  • Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address, username, and authentication credentials. Credentials are handled by the authentication service used by the application.
  • Preferences and saved research. If you choose to use these features, we store selected sports and sportsbooks, bankroll and Kelly settings, email preferences, saved boards, tracked picks, and saved parlays or line snapshots.
  • Usage and device data. We automatically collect limited technical data such as IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, event identifiers, and timestamps of activity, primarily through server and security logs. Optional product analytics are collected only after you give consent.
  • Content you provide. Any information you submit through support or contact requests, such as the contents of an email to us.

We do not store full payment card numbers. Our payment processor may collect payment details directly under its own privacy policy. We do not intentionally collect government IDs, precise geolocation, or other sensitive personal data through the service.

PropDolphin uses a minimal set of cookies, grouped into the categories below. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, and we do not run cross-site tracking or ad-retargeting pixels.

When you first visit PropDolphin, you can accept all cookies, reject non-essential cookies, or customize your choices by category. You can change your Analytics preference at any time through the “Cookie Preferences” link in the footer, or by disabling cookies in your browser settings; doing so may prevent you from staying signed in or using certain features of the site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and secure your PropDolphin account and session
  • Save your board, sizing, email, and tracked-pick preferences
  • Process subscriptions and provide account access connected to your plan
  • Communicate essential service-related information, such as security alerts and policy updates
  • Diagnose technical issues and monitor the reliability of the platform
  • Analyze anonymized, aggregated usage trends to improve features

We do not use your information for targeted advertising or sell it to data brokers.

Legal Basis for Processing

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under the following legal bases: performance of a contract (to provide the service you sign up for), legitimate interests (to secure and improve the platform), and consent (where you have given it, such as for optional analytics or marketing communications).

Data Sharing & Third-Party Service Providers

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share limited data only with service providers who help us operate PropDolphin, under contractual confidentiality obligations:

  • Neon Auth & Postgres — authentication and database hosting. Neon processes your account credentials and email on our behalf.
  • ParlayAPI — our servers use ParlayAPI to retrieve public odds, player-prop lines, and related market data. We do not send your email address, account details, saved research, or board preferences in these requests. Because the requests originate from our server infrastructure, ParlayAPI may receive the server IP address, API endpoint and query parameters, response status and size, User-Agent, timestamps, and latency or error metadata for billing, rate limiting, security, and service operations.   • Hosting infrastructure — our application and logs are hosted with infrastructure providers who may process data solely to deliver hosting and security services.
  • Stripe — subscription checkout, billing, and the customer portal. Stripe processes payment details under its own privacy policy; PropDolphin receives subscription and customer identifiers needed to manage access.

We may also disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary:

  • Account and saved research: retained while your account is active
  • Billing records: retained as needed for subscriptions, accounting, and legal obligations
  • Opt-out records: retained as needed to honor your email preferences
  • Deletion requests: processed within 30 days
  • Server and security logs: retained up to 12 months

Data Security

Account data is stored on Neon, a serverless PostgreSQL platform that encrypts data at rest and in transit. Authentication tokens are secured via HTTP-only cookies, and access to production infrastructure is restricted to authorized personnel. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — request a copy of your data
  • Correction — correct inaccurate data
  • Deletion — request account deletion
  • Portability — request a machine-readable copy
  • Non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights

Children's Privacy

PropDolphin requires users to be at least 21 and is not directed to anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Data Transfers

Our infrastructure and data-service providers may process and store data in the United States. ParlayAPI is operated from the United States and may process the server-side request metadata described above there. Where we transfer personal data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the effective date above and, for material changes, notify registered users via email.
